Summary: IMCE is an image/file browser, allowing plain text areas or rich text editors to manage and insert images. Project page: http://drupal.org/project/imce Settings are at Site configuration > IMCE Main thing is to create a profile and create a default directory where files will be stored. Note that the main domain for files is set in the Files settings (Site Configuration > File System). Since I'm using IMCE for miscellaneous images inserted into items, I've put them at sites/sitename/files/misc. Also, ensure that the directories are writable by the web server. Problems sending files to the editor. The IMCE window should have a number of options at the top of the window, including upload, delete, etc. One option sohuld be to send the file to the editor. If this doesn't appear, it may be an issue with the secure pages module. In the secure pages settings, set secure pages to ignor imce*. After I did this, the option to send the file to the editor returned.
