My dear Mrs. Ruggles and Frank,
I suppose you have given me up for sure. I'll admit I am terribly
slow with my correspondence, but it seems writing letters is
a very easy thing to neglect especially when there are so many
other things to do.
You see I leave for Iowa the 15th of Sept. so I have been busy
going places and seeing people before I leave. I just got home
from a five days camping trip in the mountains. We had a most
wonderful time riding and swimming. We had lots of moutain trout
and every thing to make a perfect trip. I am still working in
the bank. But I intend to quit work soon after the first so I
can get ready for school.
I want to thank you for the picture Frank. I can see quite a
resemblance between you and your father, especially through the
fore head. I have had several snap shots taken lately if they
are good I'll send you some.
We finally sold the car and the fellow had to sell his grain
before he could pay for it. So I am mailing you a cashiers
check for fifty dollars $50, the amount we received for it.
It is almost time for lunch so I must close. I hope you will
forgive me for not writing sooner. I will try to do better
next time.
Hoping this finds you all well and happy,
Best of Regard Lucretia
