Miss Belle Hardy
My only darling
Well kid I received your letter this evening and, Belle, it makes me feel
as though my futures happiness depended upon one whom, I, could trust and, Belle my
dear, what a [word] [word] it is to love a girl whose main motive in life is honesty.
I may be fooled, Belle but I believe your to be the finest girl that I ever met, and the
deception, dear that I have known had almost turned my mind from ever wanting
a companion in my life. But to know you, Belle, was all that was required.
I expect, kid, you will think me in a hurry about answering your letters but
I take advantage of the opportunities as a I can get them, oh yes, I attended
the sale. Hattie [name] and [name] Blunt asked me all kinds of questions about
our affairs but they got very little satisfaction. I heard, Belle, that your
folks are not liking it about you and I going together now, Belle, I don't know
about this and of course I want them to respect me if they can consistently but,
kid, you are the only object of my affections and while I respect and like
everyone but you darling are mine and more to me than the rest of the earth.

Answer and tell me what time to come on Sunday
your lover
Ben Muldrow
