John Forman and Mary Hogan
Now we may begin with the Forman genealogy.
John Forman, born and raised
in Virginia and died there in 1809 at 84 years
of age. Married Mary Hogan - had 8 children -
William - Hamilton - Aaron - Kate - Mary - Betsy -
Nancy - Peggy.
I have been asked: "Who was Mary Hogan?" All that
I can say is "Mary Hogan's birth and death are as
silent as the grave in which she rests - her life
speaks for itself"
Aaron son of John Forman and Mary Hogan -
Aaron moved from and settled in Kentucky
married Rachel Fry - had 5 children - Polly
Alvin - William - Betsy and John
Aaron with his family moved to Missouri in
1820 - settled in Ralls Co. 10 miles from Hannibal Mo
then a town of one house.
Aaron died of apoplexy in his 64 year while out
hunting wild hogs.
He was buried in the family grave yard near his
his home. Perhaps the first to be laid to rest
under those big, old elm trees.
Rachel twenty year later, at the age of 74 -
passed away and was laid to rest by the side of
her beloved husband where the elm trees.
