Dear Mom & Dad,
There's nothing new, of course, to write, but just wanted
you to know we got back alright. We arrived here about
6:45 in the midst of some terrible fog. Could hardly
see 5 feet in front of yourself. It's turned now into a
wet snow so I'm staying in today.
Didn't do much last night except to unpack and rearrange
the living room closet. We have so much put away in there &
with the added load, it looked like it was going to tumble
down. Even with rearranging it doesn't look a great deal
better, but next time I'll bring some of it home.
The basket is already holding our magazines. I've got it
by the chair closest to the bookcase & it looks so pretty.
Thank you.
Tom just got back from school a few minutes ago & is
"playing" his tin whistle. For a thing designed for school
kids, it takes a lot of work to just make a decent noise. Hopefully,
Tom will work up to that point pretty quick - my nervous
system couldn't bear up for much longer! On the plus side, he
got a B in his social problems test - one that he took last week.
Tomorrow I'm going out to Gail's if the weather is ok.
Don't have much else planned for this week. "Medea" is on at
Drury this weekend, so I guess we'll go to that. Otherwise, just
study time.
I've got some hand washing soaking & it's close to lunch, so
I better get going. Don't work too hard & write often.
Love,
Betty
