Miss Belle Hardy,

My Darling Girl

My stay with you the other evening though short was surely very highly
appreciated. And, Belle, I would have stayed longer but I felt that the folks
would think me to impudent and forward, but Belle, my darling, I hope t\when
they find out that I'm sincerely in earnest that they will have a better opinion
OF ME> And Belle I believe that if they would only consider for one moment how
serious it is to try to separate two who are earnestly devoted to each other
they would surely think of days of long ago. But, darling they have the
advantages of us they can keep me from coming to see you, but no power on this
earth could keep me from loving you, and we can put up with this now. Belle,
but the time will soon come darling when we can make our own happiness and live
in the true sunshine of each others live and affection. Now Belle don't think
for one minute but what I am depending in you as my only companion for life
[word], darling, trust me and as the days are passing by may your living thoughts remind
you of
your earnest lover
Ben

bye bye one kiss for you darling, may I have one in return
